The Emergency Medicine (Degree Completion Program) program at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences prepares students for advanced roles in their field. This flexible 100% online undergraduate is designed for working professionals who want to enhance their expertise while balancing other commitments.

Emergency Medicine Degree Completion students will enter as senior transfers to complete their bachelor’s degree in two terms with 100% online, asynchronous courses. If the applicant has 51 prerequisite and general education credits, they are eligible for this entry point. Interested students should contact the enrollment specialist for a prerequisite credit evaluation.

These students must complete 30 core credits within the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences to earn an undergraduate degree.

Eligibility

This program is only avalible to currently certified paramedics or U.S. SOCOM Advanced Tactical Paramedics.

What to Expect in Your Classes 

This program offers 13 courses, totaling 30 credits (in addition to the 51 transferable prerequisite and general education credits and 39 paramedic certification credits, totaling 120 for the BS degree). All coursework is delivered in a 100% online format, giving you the flexibility to study from anywhere. Classes run for 15 weeks (except summer term), allowing you to complete the program in 1 year (2 terms). Students will study full-time.
