Advance Your Expertise in Infant Mental Health

The Certificate in Infant Mental Health is a multidisciplinary program designed for anyone committed to supporting the social-emotional well-being of infants, toddlers and their families. Delivered online, this program is ideal for professionals in early intervention, pediatrics, behavioral health, early education, child life, health sciences, child protective services and community-based programs, as well as administrators, policymakers, researchers, faculty, caregivers and parents.

Students gain a strong foundation in the principles of infant and early childhood mental health, learning skills to foster healthy development, advocate for families and apply research and theory in real-world practice. Coursework emphasizes relationship-based, culturally sensitive and developmentally grounded approaches, aligned with the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health core principles.

Graduates are prepared to expand their impact through advocacy, leadership and collaboration across health, education and community settings making a difference in the lives of very young children and the people who care for them.
