The Master of Science in PA-POR is an online graduate program ideal for those interested in data-driven decision-making. This program equips students to analyze healthcare datasets and apply pharmacoepidemiology and outcomes research methods to improve medication use, safety and effectiveness. Applicants must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Healthcare professionals are encouraged to apply, though candidates from related disciplines are welcome. Through an online format, students build skills in study design, and data collection, management, organization, analysis, visualization & communication. The curriculum emphasizes practical applications, preparing students to translate complex data into insights that inform healthcare policy, clinical practice and industry strategy. Students gain experience in biostatistics, pharmacoepidemiology and designing observational research studies. Technical training includes statistical coding, as well as cost-effectiveness modeling. Graduates are prepared for careers in the pharmaceutical industry, the U.S. FDA, pharmacy ownership or management, and data analytics or research roles in healthcare. The program also provides strong preparation for PhD study or research fellowships.
